kratai is a desktop app. Sign in with a free kratai.com account and download it.
Sign in with a free kratai.com account (it comes with $30 in AI credit) and download the desktop app from kratai.com. The macOS build is signed and notarized; a Windows build is available too.
Signing in is required before you can use the app at all — it's a hard gate at launch, not an optional step. See Signing in.
Open the desktop app and you'll be prompted to sign in with a kratai.com account (Google or GitHub) before anything else is available. Your session carries over across every project you open with that installation, so you only do this once.
A new kratai.com account comes with $30 in AI credit, which covers chat, spec generation, and detail-fill inside the app. That's what's available for now — billing for usage beyond that is still being worked out.
To build the desktop app from source instead of downloading it:
